Series mania #8 in the starting blocks

From 13th to 23rd April, the Series Mania Festival will take place in Paris. This is a unique opportunity to binge watch the best selection coming from around the world: about 60 series will be presented, 31 among them world premieres.

4 Different Competitions There are 4 categories of competition this year.

For the official competition: 10 world premiere series are nominated. The selection is very varied, from the French comedy Kim Kong to the British psychological thriller Born to kill.

The second category is the International Panorama. It includes 19 premieres of international series. For the first year, Japanese and Russian series will be presented.

There is also a French competition where the entire teams of the series will attend the premieres, and three awards will be given out: Best Series, Best Actor and Best Actress.

Lastly, a competition for digital and web series will take place for the first time. A professional jury will give out an award, as well as viewers.

Special guests Series Mania will be the opportunity to meet about 60 guests: script writers, directors, actors, producers Among them, you will be able to meet celebrities such as Damon Lindelolf, one of the creators of Lost, or Julianna Margulies, of ER and The Good Wife.

Other events You are a serial lover willing to binge watch new phenomenons from around the world or the new season of your favorite series in a theater, Series Mania is the right place for you. For the first time, you will have the opportunity to attend premieres, but also to discover the latest seasons of Master of None and of Le Bureau des L gendes.

Another category will make its first appearance this year, Series Mania Cults , that will allow you to spend a night watching Masters of Horror, or to rediscover The Simpsons.

For professionals, a co-production Forum Around the public event, a professional meeting has been developed. During 4 days, the Co-production Forum will give you the chance to to meet producers, funders 15 series projects will be presented (selected by a jury among 314 projects), and the best one will be awared.. Round tables and pitches by authors will also be organised.
