Netflix has announced the release date and first images of the new film starring Candela Pe a (The Asunta Case, Fury), Ana Rujas (In the Mud, The Messiah), and Pol L pez (The Van, See You in Another Life). The Marked Woman will premiere globally on Netflix on June 5, 2026.

The film follows the investigation of a case led by Detective Anna Ripoll (Candela Pe a), after the discovery of a woman (Ana Rujas), gagged and bound, inside a container in the port of Barcelona, unable to remember who she is or how she got there. Anna, together with Officer Quique Z rate (Pol L pez), embarks on a race against time to uncover the identity of the unknown woman and the secrets hidden in her memory.

The cast is completed by Manolo Solo (The Asunta Case, A Portuguese Affair), Luka Peros (Money Heist, The Photographer of Mauthausen), and Kira Mir (Alpha Males, Who's Who?). The film is produced by K&S Films (El Eternauta, Wild Tales), with Mat as Mosteir n and Pola Zito as executive producers, directed by Gabe Ib ez and written by Lara Sendim.

The Marked Woman is an adaptation of the novel written by Rosa Montero and Olivier Truc, published by the French publisher POINTS, as well as by ALFAGUARA (Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial) in Spain.

In Rosa Montero's words: I am very excited about the Netflix release of the film based on The Marked Woman, the crime novel I co-wrote with French author Olivier Truc. It was a fascinating, incredibly fun and somewhat crazy project that gave our unknown character's story an unusual intensity. I can't wait to see how this formidable team has translated all that suspense into the film. Olivier Truc comments: Writing La desconocida was a wonderful adventure working alongside Rosa Montero, and I know that many readers who loved the book are just as eager as I am to see it on screen!
