At the Verimatrix stand 4.557, Albis Technologies will demonstrate its SceneGate(TM) Micro II STB integrated with a Zappware Nexx(TM) user interface and Verimatrix VCAS(TM) security platform. Together, the components create an innovative HD IPTV STB capable of securely handling linear TV, VOD, OTT, and PVR services.

The OTT solution will be demonstrated on STBs, second-screen devices, and smart TVs.

Albis Technologies SceneGate Micro II features a powerful, compact design that guarantees a high quality experience for end users. The STB delivers HD resolution up to 1080p via an HDMI(R) 1.4a interface and is 3D TV ready, enabling cable, telco, and (ISP) Internet service providers to deliver a more exclusive service offering.

A flexible SDK supports open APIs for integration with native or browser-based middleware clients and applications. Using Albis Technologies open API technology, the OpenGL-based platform leverages a unified media framework to enable seamless integration with IPTV and OTT channels. Advanced system-on-chip (SoC) technology provides enhanced processing power and memory, allowing service providers to offer sophisticated applications and customizable user interfaces. The Verimatrix VCAS architecture offers security convergence that addresses the latest multinetwork configurations, including IP-Hybrid for the SceneGate Micro II STB. In this integration, VCAS combines protection techniques for managed networks with standards-based security for OTT delivery -- using standard adaptive bitrate streaming protocols -- to multiple devices. It fully utilizes the operators existing RF network while enabling transition to all IP services in the future whether over managed and/or OTT networks.
