Netflix Announces New Series The re Murders, Based on Viveca Sten's Books - Premiering February 6, 2025

Netflix shares a first look and the debut date of the new series The re Murders, a series that takes place in the beautiful town of re in Sweden, known for its stunning landscapes.

The series is based on two books by Swedish author Viveca Sten, "Hidden in Snow" and "Hidden in the Shadows," both from "The re Murders" series. Sten's books have been published in more than 40 countries and have sold over 10 million copies.

The re Murders means a lot to me and Im very excited that its now time for the TV series to see the light of day on a leading streaming service like Netflix! Both as the author of the books and executive producer of the series, its hugely exciting to see the characters come to life through such talented actors. My dream, of course, is that the TV series will be just as popular and successful as the books have been both in Sweden and abroad, says Viveca Sten.

The re Murders will launch globally on Netflix on February 6, 2025.

About The re Murders Police officer Hanna Ahlander has been suspended from her job in Stockholm and dumped by her partner when she moves to her sisters vacation home in re. When a young woman goes missing on the icy night of Lucia, Hanna cant help but start investigating the case. With a tough family situation and an understaffed police station, local police officer Daniel Lindskog reluctantly has to accept Hannas help. But the big question is whether they can trust each other.
