TAG Video Systems announced that it has joined the Streaming Video Alliance (the Alliance), an industry forum comprised of leading companies from the online video ecosystem. TAG joined the Alliance to stay close to the heart of steaming technologies and participate in the forum's work groups which are dedicated to developing best practice solutions for the highest-quality video experience possible.

TAG is delighted to join the founders of the Streaming Video Alliance along with the brightest minds in the video value chain to address challenges that inherently arise with emerging technologies, said Tomer Schechter, TAG CTO. The Alliance offers an incredible opportunity to collaborate with fellow members and utilize our extensive experience to solve key issues facing network operators, service providers, content owners and technology companies.

Established in 2008, TAG is the world leader in 100% SW, 100% IP, 100% COTS Probing, Monitoring and Multiviewing for all four of the major broadcast applications (Live Production, Playout, Delivery and OTT). The Company's full-feature set and unique software-only approach supports HLS and MPEG-DASH to provide a comprehensive monitoring and Multiviewing solution that addresses the unique monitoring requirements of OTT platforms.

The Streaming Video Alliance was established to develop an open architecture, propose standards, and promote best practices to support the future of streaming video, said Jason Thibeault, Executive Director, Streaming Video Alliance. We welcome TAG Video Systems to the Alliance. They join leading organizations from across the industry to help the Alliance shape the future of online video by collaborating, discussing, and planning how the video ecosystem can operate openly and scale to best meet consumer demand.

Founded in 2014, the Streaming Video Alliance is a global technical association addressing critical challenges in streaming video. By educating the industry on the technical nature of the issues, providing a neutral forum for collaboration across the video ecosystem, and publishing documentation that defines technical solutions, the Alliance is helping to improve the streaming video experience at scale. Over 85 companies including network operators, content rights holders, OTT platforms, service providers, and technology vendors - representing some of the biggest names in global streaming - participate in bi-weekly working group activities and quarterly face-to-face meetings.
