Spacecom Wins Vision Award for Most Promising Company of the Year at SATCON2012

NEW YORK 15 November 2012 Spacecom, operator of the multi-regional AMOS satellite fleet, was awarded the Vision Award for Most Promising Company of the Year during a ceremony held last night at the SATCON Satellite Communications Conference and Expo in New York City.

The readers of Satellitemarkets.com and Satellite Executive Briefing magazine, along with the Vision Awards Board of Judges, selected Spacecom to receive the inaugural Vision Award for Most Promising Company of 2012 due to its strong revenue growth, profitability and strategic initiatives in the emerging market, said Virgil Labrador, editor-in-chief of Satellite Markets & Research. We congratulate the company on its success to date and anticipate much more good news to come, he added.

Nominations for Satellite Markets & Research's first-annual Vision Awards were open to the public, and Spacecom was selected as one of three finalists for Most Promising Company of the Year. The Board of Judges, comprised of leading industry analysts and consultants,named the winner. The judges also presented awards for the Most Innovative Product or Service of the Year and Visionary Executive of the Year.

Spacecom president and chief executive officer David Pollack accepted the award on behalf of the company. "Spacecoms vision to become a global satellite services provider offering high-quality satellite communications services is what propels our work every day, said Pollack. We're proud that our hard work is being recognized. The AMOS brand is expanding worldwide, and by the end of 2013 we will be able to supply services to close to 80 percent of the global population," he added.

In September, we were named the Best Regional Satellite Operator by Euroconsult at the World Satellite Business Conference in Paris. Spacecom's most recent communications satellite, AMOS-5, was launched in December 2011 to the 17E orbital position to serve Africa with connection to Europe and the Middle East. Spacecom has several upcoming launches, including AMOS-4 in 2013 to 65E for serving India, South Asia and Russia, and AMOS-6 in 2015 to 4W to increase the companys capacity over the Middle East and Europe, including Western Europe.
