Aspera to showcase cloud solutions at AWS re: Invent

AWS re: Invent, Booth #231, LAS VEGAS, NV & EMERYVILLE, Calif., November 27, 2012 Aspera, Inc., creators of next-generation software technologies that move the world's data at maximum speed, will showcase its latest cloud solutions at AWS re: Invent, Amazon Web Services' first global customer and partner conference taking place on November 27-29 in Las Vegas, NV.

Aspera On Demand for AWS is the world's first solution to offer seamless, line-speed ingest and distribution of very large media files to and from the AWS S3 service, independent of distance, and with complete security. Joint Aspera and AWS customers, including Netflix, will be speaking about their experiences migrating to the cloud at the event.

Traditional WAN-based transport methods introduce unacceptable delays that prevent organizations from realizing the many inherent benefits of the cloud. It features a variety of client options (web, mobile, embedded), and applications for ingest, sharing, collaboration and exchange of big data, all available on demand as a subscription service. Aspera On Demand for AWS solutions start with a transfer server running on the Amazon EC2 platform. The basic option allows for high-speed transfers with Aspera desktop client software. The Aspera Application Platform option enables uploads and downloads with the Aspera Connect web browser plug-in and can be used to create custom applications with the purchase of the Aspera SDK. The Aspera Shares web application adds multi-node file sharing capabilities, Aspera faspex provides an easy-to-use interface for global file exchange and delivery.
