League Home of the 2018 World Champions collaborates with
Microsoft and Ooyala to Launch New Video Service Befitting its New Global Stature
Dallas, Tx. - April 03, 2019 - Ooyala has signed the latest of a rapidly growing roster of new clients, Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) -- the league home of the 2018 World Cup champions -- for the Ooyala Flex Media Platform, Ooyala's flexible and configurable content supply chain optimization platform that automates tasks, simplifies workflows and speeds up the time-to-market for content creators and distributors.
The Ooyala Flex Media Platform -- the world's fastest growing content supply chain solution being used by the world's most innovative content owners to simplify millions of video workflows -- will play a critical role in LFP's new video service, helping LFP manage metadata and video assets across its operations, optimize workflows with automation and streamline delivery to platforms and viewers.
The assignment grew out of Ooyala's collaboration with Microsoft, with whom LFP contracted to help manage its digital upgrade and launch its new video platform. Microsoft in turn reached out to Ooyala to handle the video components, customizing a workflow that could work with legacy LFP systems and requirements, and getting LFP video to consumers quickly, efficiently and profitably.
This new relationship is an exciting addition to Ooyala's presence in France and our dramatic growth throughout Europe said Jonathan Huberman, CEO, Ooyala. LFP's ambitions to distribute their video content not only throughout France, but also globally, required an entirely new platform and the right partners to supplement their own staff. LFP is playing on a new level, and they'll need the flexibility and functionality of the Ooyala Flex Media Platform to get their content on every device, platform and in every language to reach their growing legion of fans worldwide.

LFP is the governing body for France's major professional football championships -- overseeing, organizing, and managing the top two championships in France, Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 -- and is also responsible for the country's 44 professional football clubs as well as its yearly cup competition, the Coupe de la Ligue BKT.
