Rohde & Schwarz shows all the potential of its solutions for storage, header and transmission in 4K Rohde & Schwarz displayed on the 4 K-UHD Summit of Seville a pilot which demonstrates the possibility of issuing three signals 4K on a DVB-T2 only multiplex Cellnex distributed live to Seville, Madrid and Barcelona.
Rohde & Schwarz It has deployed in the 4 K-UHD Summit Seville a complete demonstrator for 4K real-time broadcast. This pilot is based on a native Server 4 K Venice equipped with two channels. This team manages the classical tasks of video server, such as the consumption of HD-SDI, reproduction study and channel, as well as tasks based on files such as importing files, transcode and transfer of media operations.
From the server, show 4K signal is sent to a header where it is encoded in 4K HDR. The R & S AVHE100 header integrates all functions essential for coding and multiplexing in very few hardware components, which makes it one of the most compact systems on the market. Its basic components are the processing R & S AVS100 platform and the audio and video R & S AVG100 gateway. From this single solution it encodes and statistical multiplexing of the 4 K signal is made.
The R & S AVHE, fully software-based platform is scalable, extensible, and can be easily updated to new formats.
