R&B singer Elaine celebrated the fourth anniversary of her debut EP, Elements, 29 September. Just days after the celebration, the talented songbird was selected as Spotify's EQUAL Africa artist for October. The programme is aimed at extending resources and opportunities to female artists across the continent.

ELAINE SELECTED AS SPOTIFY'S EQUAL AFRICA ARTIST FOR OCTOBER Elaine caught the world's attention with her EP, Elements, in 2019. She released the EP while studying law at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Since then, the SAMA nominee's EP was certified platinum and she was signed to Columbia Records in 2020.

Head of music in sub-Saharan Africa, Phiona Okumu, praised Elaine as one of the most talented female artists on the continent.

FADING AWAY' The 23-year-old singer released her new single, Fading Away, on Friday 7 October. The R&B single marks Elaine's third single release of the year following, Shine and Deja Vu.
