Picturepark Sntis Launches Markdown Support in Headless Pub...

Aarau, Switzerland - 7th December 2020 - Swiss digital content automation provider Picturepark has announced the new features, upgrades, and changes in its S ntis Release of the Picturepark Content Platform. The release was made generally available on 5th December 2020. With a focus on headless content publishing, the release provides editors with the ability to use Markdown text formatting options such as bullet points, bolding and italics within text fields. It also launches the ability to notify individuals or groups in real-time using notifications, about user-defined actions; carried out using the platform. Additionally, it enables all linked files to be downloaded in a single click and introduces a range of other improvements; including various bug fixes.

The latest S ntis Release allows editors to use Markdown, a well known text formatting markup language. Markdown was designed with a focus on structuring content for omnichannel use, while still being readable and easy to use for editors. For those that want to see what their Markdown syntaxes will look like when rendered, Picturepark features a live preview. The availability of markdown in Picturepark caters not only to rich metadata formatting but also to headless content management use cases, which are increasingly common in Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Product Information Management (PIM): for example, when content is provided via a portal.

Additionally, users of the platform now have the power to automatically notify themselves or others once the conditions for a specified event have been met. This feature is ideal whenever users need to be notified immediately, or with a predetermined delay, in a range of different scenarios. They include notification of events such as: new content becoming available, once certain content has been tagged or flagged automatically for review by subject matter experts, when content has been approved by those in charge and is published or is ready for distribution to market organizations and partners. In line with Picturepark's headless publishing strategy, it also opens up the door to allow for editors to directly inform staff about new microsites.

The release additionally marks a new step forward: users of Picturepark can now download files which are linked with each other, all at once; with only one mouse click. The new feature also extends the ability for users to add to the Picturepark basket, where content can then go onwards for further processing or sharing en-masse. Suitable for a selection of uses, Picturepark envisions this feature to be especially useful for those who would like to instantly download press kits composed out of multiple linked files such as logos, press releases, boilerplates, and more; all at the click of a button.

In addition to the major new features, the Picturepark S ntis Release also addresses some other areas: diacritics handling for metadata, alphabetical sorting of facet filters and adding support for additional languages for when content is shared.
