Samsung leads for the second year the virtual reality to the Sitges Festival Samsung estrena el corto de realidad virtual Talism n', dirigido por Carlos Ther n y protagonizado por Berto Romero, y ofrece gratuitamente a los espectadores 27 producciones de cine fant stico y de terror en realidad virtual.
Por segundo a o Samsung Electronics participa en el Festival Internacional de Cinema Fant stic de Catalunya, como patrocinador tecnol gico y con la secci n Samsung Sitges Cocoon, la secci n oficial que selecciona las piezas rodadas en formato de realidad virtual que compiten en esta edici n. Las piezas se exhiben en el espacio Samsung VR Cinema, situado en el centro cultural Miramar de Sitges. La sala de cine de realidad virtual Samsung VR Cinema tiene capacidad para ofrecer la experiencia virtual a 25 espectadores. Adem s, la instalaci n temporal Samsung VR Experience, localizada en las inmediaciones del hotel Meli Sitges, ofrece al p blico numerosas experiencias interactivas e inmersivas con producciones de realidad virtual, realidad aumentada y v deos grabados en 360 .

Estreno mundial de Talisman
El estreno mundial del corto fant stico Talisman representa el compromiso de Samsung con la nueva narrativa a trav s de la realidad virtual. Esta coproducci n de Samsung y de Quexito Films est dirigida por Carlos Ther n, ganador del premio Goya 2006 al mejor cortometraje documental por En la cuna del aire. El gui n de Talism n es de Alfonso Aranda y est protagonizado por Berto Romero. Grabado en 360 , este corto de terror y fantas a sumerge al espectador a trav s de las gafas de realidad virtual Samsung Gear VR en la historia de tres alba iles que trabajan en la reforma de una antigua casa, donde encuentran un extra o objeto.
Talisman es el segundo proyecto cinematogr fico en el que participa Samsung despu s de Ceremony, de Nacho Vigalondo, que estren la secci n Samsung Sitges Cocoon en la pasada edici n del Festival de Cine de Sitges.
Con la realidad virtual los contenidos fant sticos y de terror cobran una nueva dimensi n. Esta tecnolog a ofrece sensaciones in ditas al espectador, alertando todos sus sentidos. El cortometraje Talism n' que hemos producido y que hoy presentamos en exclusiva es un excelente ejemplo de contenidos cinematogr ficos producidos en realidad virtual y con una alta calidad , dice Alfonso Fern ndez, director de marketing corporativo de Samsung Espa a.
Samsung Sitges Cocoon asienta la nueva narrativa audiovisual en el Festival Internacional de Cinema Fant stic de Catalunya, con una secci n oficial competitiva y con la exhibici n ininterrumpida de diversos contenidos de tem tica fant stica de producciones en realidad virtual y en v deo inmersivo.
El jurado que seleccionar el mejor corto de esta secci n est compuesto por el director Jaume Balaguer ; Miguel ngel Ru z, responsable de contenidos de Samsung y Javier Olivares, creador de la serie El Ministerio del Tiempo.
Los 27 cortometrajes seleccionados entre producciones de todo el mundo y que componen la secci n oficial Samsung Sitges Cocoon podr n verse gracias a las gafas de realidad virtual Samsung Gear VR de forma gratuita en los dos espacios habilitados por Samsung en el Festival.
Adem s del corto Talism n el p blico podr experimentar a trav s de las gafas Samsung Gear VR otros destacados trabajos en realidad virtual como Campfire Creepers: The Skull of Sam, del director Alexandre Aja (Alta tensi n, Reflejos) y protagonizada por el legendario Robert Englund (Freddy Krugger). Con Campfire Creepers: The Skull of Sam Samsung lleva a Sitges la primera serie de terror en realidad virtual antes de su estreno, programado para Halloween. Tambi n estar n presentes Night, Night, de Guy Shelmerdine; The Argos File de Josema Roig; el corto italiano Dreams of Blue de Valentina Paggiarin o los cortos estadounidenses Melita de Nicol s Alcal y Ray de Rafael Pav n, entre otros. Durante el festival se presentar El Ministerio del Tiempo VR: Salva el tiempo, una experiencia VR creada por Pablo Lara y Rafael Pav n de la serie The Ministry of time.
