The African continent has the second largest population in the world, with more than one billion people.

It has 54 countries rich in history, culture, and diversity and more than 2,000 languages spoken by the people of Africa.

TODAY'S AFRICA FACT Africa Fact: South Africa is the first African country to introduce shared parental leave

South Africa is set to introduce shared parental leave after a High Court ruling.

This will make South Africa the first African country to introduce this. Fathers will have up to 4 months of parental leave alongside mothers. Dads only had 10 days of parental leave before this.
