XXC Legacy is the latest SA hip-hop star taking Mzansi by storm with her talents. The Johannesburg-based singer and rapper released her debut EP, End Of Days on 3 June with some of Mzansi's biggest names including Moozlie and Big Star Johnson.

WHO IS XXC LEGACY? Thandiswa Mthethwa popularly known as XXC Legacy, is an independent artist who graduated from the National School of the Arts in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. The 22-year-old is backed by a Berlin-based record label Paradise Sound System.
The muso kicked off her music career in 2021 with the release of her singles Khona Manje, End of Days, One For Me and Runaway.

Her latest EP, End Of Days includes catchy hooks, edgy beats and her trademark quick-spoken rap style. The six-track EP also blends hip-hop and rap with modern electronic touches while fusing 90s influences.

The lead single of the EP, On the Low balances the strong stable flow of Jay Jody with XXC Legacy's calm confidence. Jay Jody's lyrics on the track display his seasoned household name in the local hip-hop scene.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR XXC LEGACY? Produced by Re-Decay, XXC Legacy's new single When You Know is inspired by her new partnership with a local brand, where she explores her journey as a young black woman in the local music scene.
The single features Djenga, who is best known for his work with the award-winning electronic duo, Locnville.
It has a very old-school beat which references influences such as Wu-Tang and the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but I also wanted to share my story and values and to encourage others to take that risk, follow your dreams and set your own trends, explained the muso.
