Quantel and Snell Welcome Ed McGivern
Industry veteran joins expanding Americas sales organization
Quantel and Snell are pleased to announce Mr. Ed McGivern has joined the company as Regional VP of Sales. McGivern is an established sales and management professional, having spent nearly 20 years in the industry selling high-value technology solutions and developing successful sales organizations. Based in Burbank, CA, McGivern is focused on the western regional sales activity for broadcasters, TV and cable networks, studios and service providers.
We are delighted to have Ed join our western region sales organization, said Terry Barnum, VP Sales, North America. Ed is a high-energy individual with a strong technical background, excellent knowledge of the industry and great relationships across broadcast groups, key accounts and channel partners.
I am pleased to join such a historic and accomplished global organization, said McGivern. Our products and services provide broadcasters, service providers, studios, production companies, post production facilities and OTT distributors with a solid and feature-rich technology foundation for today, while ensuring they are prepared for IP and 4K requirements now or whenever it makes sense for their business. No other manufacturer has the breadth of application and domain knowledge from linear and non-linear playout to production, infrastructure and post production.
The company prides itself on high quality, high standards and ability to provide customers a migration path and/or a hybrid solution from SDI to IP, as well as support for native production quality up to 8K, McGivern continued. With an acclaimed track record in the industry, McGivern's nearly 20-year career across four organizations spans several leadership and business development roles including VP of North American sales, strategy leadership and national account management.
