Press conference on development of digital television in the Republic of Belarus will be held on April 15, 2015 14.04.2015
On Aril 15, 2015 the press conference on Development of digital television in the Republic of Belarus will be held at the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus (5, Oktyabrskaya str., Minsk).
Pavel Pavlovsky, Head of Development and Strategic Planning Department of RUE Beltelecom, will provide detailed information about the activities of the Company in this regard and answer questions of mass media representatives.
Analogue television will be fully completed inthe Republic of Belarus till May 15, 2015. By that date all analogue decimeter television transmitters will be disabled at all transmitting exchanges of the country. On May 15, 2015 broadcasting of an analog signal will be fully terminated at the main transmitting exchange of the country in Kolodishchi.
Development of digital television broadcasting of the DVB-T standardinthe Republic of Belarus is performed within the framework of the State Program on introducing digital television and radio broadcasting in the Republic of Belarus till 2015, approved by the resolution of the Council of Ministersof the Republic of BelarusNo.1406 of 08.12.2005.
The State Program is aimed at improving quality of service provisioning related with broadcasting of television programs, enhancing efficiency of radio frequency resource usage, energy efficiency, providing access of the citizens of the country to State compulsory publicly available package of digital television programs, the development of new types of television receiving and transmitting equipment.
Representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus will participate in the press conference.
