Mobitel LTE/4G Brings New Dimensions to Mobile Internet Ljubljana, 20 March Telekom Slovenije has presented its state-of-the-art and fastest yet mobile network Mobitel LTE/4G, which supports even quicker data transfer. Users can test the advantages of exceptional data rates starting tomorrow as part of its new offer (and even for free during the promotional period), as well as purchase the latest LTE mobile devices at promotional prices. After launching the new network, Telekom Slovenije is the first operator in the Slovenian market to provide a complete and high-quality user experience with LTE technology.

The state-of-the-art technology behind Telekom Slovenije's most advanced and fastest network supports significantly higher mobile data transfer rates, providing an even better user experience for even the most demanding online services. As of tomorrow, all users with advanced LTE devices can enjoy the advantages of fast data transfer in the Mobitel LTE/4G network simply by simply activating the service to access it. They can choose between two different offers and pick the one that better suits their user habits.

Users of LTE phones and devices can activate the Hitri internet LTE/4G service to complement their existing Mobitel plan. All Mobitel subscribers can use this service for free during the promotional period that lasts all until 31 December 2013. After the promotional period expires, the price will be 6.

Users of LTE data devices such as USB or MiFi modems can also opt for a separate subscription plan and select between Internet LTE/4G or Internet LTE/4G poslovni for business users. These two price plans include a 40 GB data allowance for 39 per month, and the ZTE MF91D LTE MiFi modem for only 1 upon signing a 24-month subscription agreement. During the promotional period from 21 March to 31 August 2013, we will grant users a 50% discount on the subscription fee for a period of six months from the date of concluding the subscription agreement.

Telekom Slovenije's range of products already includes advanced and state-of-the-art LTE devices at affordable prices, such as the HTC One SV and Sony Xperia Z smartphones, as well as the ZTE MF91D MiFi modem. Following the trends on global markets, Telekom Slovenije will expand its range of LTE devices in the future.

Telekom Slovenije's users can also test the advantages of Mobitel LTE/4G, the fastest mobile internet network, for free. The Hitri internet LTE/4G service allows Mobitel subscribers to access the Mobitel LTE/4G network with no surcharges. They can simply upgrade their existing subscription plan and test the Hitri internet LTE/4G service for free until 31 December 2013. At Telekom Slovenije's stores, subscribers can also borrow free-of-charge LTE devices for testing.

The Mobitel LTE/4G network is available to mobile telecommunication users in 27 towns and cities: Ajdovina, Breice, Celje, Domale, Grosuplje, Kamnik, Koper, Kranj, Krko, Ljubljana, Maribor, Metlika, Murska Sobota, Nadgorica, Nova Gorica, Novo mesto, Polzela, Portoro, Postojna, Ptuj, empeter, entjur pri Celju, Solkan, otanj, Trbovlje, Velenje, and Vrhnika. It supports extremely high data rates, with theoretical speeds of up to 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Data rates in practice depend on radio conditions, which are affected by several factors, such as network load, micro location, etc. The terms most advanced and fastest refer to the fastest theoretical data rates which can be achieved in Telekom Slovenije's mobile network using LTE/4G technology, compared to the highest data rates of GSM and UMTS technologies in the same network.

Telekom Slovenije will further invest in the LTE/4G network and its other networks in line with its investment policy: prudently, reasonably, and above all in accordance with market responses, trends, and guidelines.

To use the most-advanced Mobitel LTE/4G network, users require a LTE/4G mobile phone or device, the Mobitel LTE/4G network coverage, and the activated Hitri internet LTE/4G service. Users without advanced USIM cards can get one at the nearest Telekom Slovenije store, or any other of Telekom Slovenije's sales points.

Data transfer in the LTE/4G network will be charged according to the current price list for voice and data price plans and extra leased data allowance. For an even better Mobitel LTE/4G experience, we recommend that users try the Mobilni Internet or Instant Internet service. For using mobile data transfer on two devices, we recommend the SIM 2 service. All prices include VAT.
