Cisco Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend to $0.17 per Common Share
SAN JOSE, Calif. March 28, 2013 Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) announced that earlier today its board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.17 per common share. The dividend is a three-cent increase over the previous quarters dividend and will be paid on April 24, 2013, to all shareholders of record as of the close of business on April 8, 2013.
Weare increasing our dividend as part of our strategy to deliver a consistent return to our shareholders, in line with our capital allocation commitment, said Frank Calderoni, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Cisco. Ciscos continued execution and strong financial position enable us to provide a higher dividend directly to our shareholders.
Ciscos previous quarterly dividend of $0.14 per common share was paid on December 19, 2012. Future dividends will be subject to board approval.
