Academy Award -winning digital production company Digital Domain announced today that VFX Executive Producer, Joanna Capitano has been elevated to the position of Vice President of Features. In the new role, Capitano will continue to work closely with studios and clients to develop new business as well as overseeing the executive producers in the features division.
Daniel Seah, CEO of Digital Domain stated, Joanna represents the heart and soul of what makes the Digital Domain team great. She is tremendously respected both here and in the film industry as a whole. Under her strong leadership the features division will continue to thrive, grow and innovate.
Joanna has been with the company since 1993 and has fostered decades-long relationships with key influencers and decision-makers at all of the top studios. Joanna has been a driving force behind securing many of the 100+ feature film productions on which Digital Domain has worked. In addition, she also oversaw publicity and marketing for the company for 7 years, including driving publicity campaigns for two features that earned visual effects Academy Awards . She is credited on the Academy Award -nominated Real Steel and Academy Award -winning Golden Compass along with Thor and many other feature films.
