Cinegy and Evolutions revolutionizing the post workflow of location based TV Shows

Historically, preparing to post observational documentaries involved hundreds, if not thousands of tapes, which needed to be ingested, transcoded to generate offline media, logged with awkward bulky paper logs and eventually conformed - all processes that took time and had large associated budgets.

Evolutions needed to create a cost effective method of ingesting multiple streams of HD online and offline media with associated logging information in to the edit. Their solution was Luther .

The concept for Luther was to reduce the time and cost associated with these shows, for two reasons. The first - to make them viable to production companies and the second, to facilitate a move away from the dependence of expensive ingest servers used on live sport and event TV production; in effect to democratize TV productions. says Phil Vincent, Locations Manager Evolutions.
