Rugged and Reliable even in Exceptional Cold Densitron expands its Ultra-Wide Temperature TFT Display range

Densitron, a global leader in the creation of display technologies, is again pushing the boundaries with a newly-expanded range of TFT displays for use in exceptional temperatures.

The new displays function at impressive temperature range from as low as -30 and up to 85 ideal for harsh outdoor applications. Traditional industrial TFTs have a standard -20 to 70 operating temperature, whereas Densitrons extended range can now run both 10 degrees colder and up to 15 degrees warmer in more extreme environments than the temperature of a traditional LCD display.

The range also includes a wide variety of size options with 3.5, 4.3, 5, 7 and 10.1 displays available.

These TFT displays have wide viewing angles for all-round and handheld views, ensuring they are easy to read outdoors, even in sunlight. Images and colours are sharp and well-defined. The displays use IPS and MVA industrial grade glass which makes them even more robust. Consequently, they are available with a five-year long-term supply.

This range has been tested successfully at minus 30 degrees and this along with the rugged and reliable nature of the displays and the range of sizes available leads us to expect strong interest, particularly from the automotive, power and security sectors, says Luo Luo, global product manager - TFT, Densitron.
