ShootersINC has welcomed Food Director/DP John Romeo to the company's diverse Directorial roster. Romeo joins ShootersINC's production division, which also features the talents of Directors Robert Adamo, Kris Magyarits, Rob Markopoulos, Ira Rosensweig, and Scott Whitham.

ShootersINC Executive Producer Jim Huie, who also collaborates with EPs Cris Andrei and Carolyn Jefferson on the company's Production Division, notes: Since the advent of our Directorial roster last year, we've been seeking a Food Director whom we feel will make an impact in that highly competitive and specialized niche of the industry. We knew we needed something a bit different in order to achieve this, and I'm delighted that we've found that in Director/DP John Romeo and his Food Stylist partner Nir Adar. The two have partnered together for over 10 years in the equally competitive market of Still Food Photography. John has quietly developed what I find to be a groundbreaking body of work that is the derivative of several national stills projects, which also yielded motion picture components. There's a very specific style that is immediately evident to the viewer. It's not pristine or overly produced. John's filmmaking style makes food more natural, approachable and intimate. That results in an almost tantalizing experience for the viewer in a way that makes you want to reach out and taste it!
Romeo works exclusively with Nir Adar, acclaimed Food Stylist, Chef and Artist. I've been working with John now for a decade, explains Adar. It's been very exciting to work together with him through his transition to motion. Over the years, we have developed a close relation on- and off-set, which helps us collaborate on-set at times using no words. John is tremendously embracing of my culinary craft and allows me to do my thing in a supportive way. He empowers me to put all of my love into the food, while he captures the magic moments through his camera. John has a great eye for details and a love for perfection, which makes both of us and the clients happy.
For Director/DP John Romeo, joining ShootersINC is an opportunity to take his work in motion to a next level. I'm really excited about the opportunities that Shooters can offer me as a Director, locally here on the east coast, but also nationally. I made the foray into motion a few years ago, and this is just a next step in the development of my career, to sign with a production company that can share my work with new clients.
Since unveiling its Directorial roster in Spring 2013, the ShootersINC team has had a series of accomplishments. The company introduced Director Rob Adamo to the motion picture commercial filmmaking market. Formerly working primarily as a still Photographer, Rob has been developed from a raw talent into a highly sought-after resource for agencies. Rob was selected this year into the prestigious SHOOT New Directors Showcase. His work at Shooters over the past year has already garnered him multiple industry awards. Director Scott Whitham has successfully been presented on the national stage. A veteran Director, well known in some regional markets, Scott continues to benefit from being nationally represented and introduced to top agencies like KBS-with whom he worked on a large scale BMW project that launched their 4 Series in the US. Director Rob Markopoulos has re-invented his reel while with ShootersINC by helming projects for brands such as Capri Sun, AARP, Hampton Inn and Stoli Vodka, to name just a few. ShootersINC has recently secured projects with Ira Rosensweig including one for Toyota featuring the cast of Wahlburgers. Ira's work for a Star Wars Marathon promo on the Spike Network recently won a Promax Gold Award. Lastly, Director Kris Magyarits has grown tremendously as a filmmaker over the past year, directing projects for Buick, Transitions Lenses, Rutgers University and Sysco. Kris approaches directing from the perspective of an Editor and Designer. Clients have fallen in love with his intuitive ability to connect the dots across the various creative segments that are required to cohesively produce content today.
