Talented actress, Lusanda Mbane, who played the role of Makhosazana in Imbewu: The Seed has exited the e.tv telenovela.

Mbane confirmed her exit from her villainous on her Facebook account last week, 19 September.

LUSANDA MBANE'S ROLE IN IMBEWU: THE SEED' The actress Lusanda Mbane told Drum Magazine last November that she was elated to be back on our small screens as Makhosazana in Imbewu: The Seed after exiting Scandal! as Boniswa Langa.

Playing Makhosazana is the return I never expected. She has had me hit the ground running.

I played Boniswa for years and after letting go of the role, I had to mourn her.

Makhosazana has been a great welcome back to the screen character for me.

She told the publication at the time that she's already fallen in love with her character at the time.

Makhosazana like her Scandal! character Boniswa had no limits and has already made her go to places she never thought she would ever be made to go for a character.

The actress said the biggest difference between her Imbewu role and Scandal! role was that Boniswa had children and that often anchored her somehow.

MAKHOSAZANA GETS KILLED: ACTRESS CONFIRMS EXIT Mbane's character Makhosazana got killed by Menzi Vilakazi's (Muzi Mthabela) daughter Mandisa Vilakazi (Nomcebo Gumede) this week. This is after Makhosazana killed her father in December 2021.

Mbane revealed to her followers and Imbewu fans on her Facebook account last week that she left the show because she was filming in Durban and too far from her husband and children, who live in Johannesburg.

She wanted to clarify that she had no disagreements with the producers of the Durban-based telenovela as they treated her well and had to leave because she wasn't coping with the distance from her family.
