Sports Video Group is pleased to announce that this year's SVG College Summit (May 31-June 1, Atlanta) will be highlighted by a keynote conversation with CBS Sports Director Mark Grant.

Grant will speak on the event's main stage on May 31 beginning at 4 p.m. ET to discuss the art of directing a live sporting event in today's environment, what he's learned in his 40+ years in the sports production industry, and to take your questions. Grant will be interviewed by SVG's Co-Executive Director, Editorial Services Ken Kerschbaumer.

Grant made history earlier this year when he directed his first NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four and National Championship for CBS, becoming the first person of color to sit in the director's chair for the broadcast of a major American sports championship.

Grant is a five-time Emmy Award-winner with 43 years in the industry. He joined CBS Sports in 1998 and currently serves as lead director for CBS Sports' college basketball coverage. Grant has worked every NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament during his tenure at CBS, beginning with the 1999 Tournament. He is also a director for CBS Sports' coverage of the NFL, college football, and golf.

A trailblazer in the industry, Grant became the first African-American director at both CBS and ESPN, where he worked for 11 years prior to joining CBS. He is a 1981 graduate of LSU.
