Beeble launches SwitchLight 2.0, bringing AI-powered relighting to any footage

New AI model delivers full-scene physically based rendering (PBR) from video-no masks, no 3D, just instant, accurate lighting control
Beeble has announced the launch of SwitchLight 2.0, a major upgrade to its current model. Built to convert raw video into detailed, physically based rendering (PBR) maps-including normal, basecolor, metallic, roughness, and specular-SwitchLight 2.0 enables users to relight full scenes in real time, without requiring 3D reconstruction or isolated subjects.

Rebuilt from the ground up, SwitchLight 2.0 features a new architecture, a model 10 times larger than its predecessor, and 13 times more training data. It now understands complete scenes, capturing far higher detail than version 1.0; not only human subjects, but also props, furniture, vehicles, and architecture, even in complex environments or under extreme lighting conditions.
Filmmaker and content creator Joshua M Kerr is among the earliest adopters, taking on the challenge of creating an Unreal Engine virtual production short film in just 24 hours using Beeble's video relighting tool, documenting the entire process on his YouTube channel.

SwitchLight 2.0 is already being adopted in previsualization, virtual production, and VFX workflows. For creators less familiar with 3D tools, the platform's simple interface enables users to light and composite a scene with just a few clicks-no download required.
SwitchLight 2.0 is fully integrated into Beeble's virtual production cloud platform, offering fast uploads, real-time editing, and export flexibility. Combined with the platform's generative background feature and 3D editor, Beeble is on track to deliver the first truly end-to-end virtual production experience for solo creators and studios alike.
