Christie ha sido elegido para suministrar e instalar la primera soluci n comercial de proyecci n l ser digital del mundo en los cines Cinerama de Seattle, ubicados en 2100 4th Avenue de Seattle (Washington). La orden de compra es por un proyector l ser digital 4K de Christie, con emisi n de luz escalable hasta 60.000 l menes.

Christie recibi recientemente la primera aprobaci n de la FDA de EE.UU. que permite la venta de proyectores l ser para su uso en salas de cine, lo que constituye la primera y nica aprobaci n hasta la fecha para un fabricante de proyectores de cine DCI-compatibles.

La proyecci n l ser avanza
Christie tiene un historial de innovaci n sin igual en el mundo de la tecnolog a cinematogr fica. Por ejemplo, recientemente y durante dos semanas enteras desde el 28 de marzo de 2013, Christie se uni a AMC y Paramount Pictures para proyectar G.I. Joe: Retaliation en la primera exhibici n comercial de una pel cula en 3D a niveles de brillo de 14 pies lamberts (ft-L) utilizando proyecci n l ser. Fue la primera oportunidad que tuvo el p blico general para disfrutar de atractivas im genes inmersivas en 3D ofrecidas a niveles de luz en 2D.
Adem s, en 2012, Christie mostr a un selecto grupo de exhibidores de Asia c mo era posible lograr 72.000 l menes, en una demostraci n en Pek n de su prototipo de proyector l ser. Esta proyecci n sigui a la de septiembre en IBC 2012 de msterdam de Hugo 3D, la primera pel cula certificada por CPG (Cameron Pace Group) presentada por el Shaw junto con los destacados estere grafos Demetri Portelli y Corey Turner (Transformers: Dark of the Moon). La pel cula se proyect a continuaci n utilizando un prototipo de proyector l ser 4K de Christie.
Christie realiz su primera demostraci n de proyector l ser para distintas celebridades de la industria del cine como Douglas Trumbull (ganador del Premio de la Academia Gordon E. Sawyer) en su cumbre de High Frame Rate que tuvo lugar en su sede de ingenier a y producci n en Kitchener, Ontario, en abril de 2012.
