Schaeffler als Successful-Practice-Unternehmen im Bereich datenbasierter Dienstleistungen ausgezeichnet
Das FIR an der RWTH Aachen verlieh Schaeffler im Rahmen des Konsortial-Benchmarkings Datenbasierte Dienstleistungen 2017 den Award Successful-Practice-Unternehmen . Auf dem Weg der digitalen Transformation legt Schaeffler besonderen Wert auf fr he und enge Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden sowie flexible und skalierbare L sungen.
Als eines von f nf Unternehmen wurde Schaeffler f r seine Vorgehensweise bei der Entwicklung datenbasierter Dienstleistungen ausgezeichnet. Das FIR (Forschungsinstitut f r Rationalisierung) an der RWTH Aachen erforschte in einer von sieben Unternehmen beauftragten Benchmarking-Studie, wie sich Top-Unternehmen in Angebot und Entwicklung digitaler Services von den anderen Teilnehmern unterscheiden. Das mehrstufige Verfahren zur Auswahl der Successful-Practice-Unternehmen nutzte verschiedene Methoden und auch gegenseitige Unternehmensbesuche. So wurde deutlich, wo die Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten der Unternehmen auf dem Weg zur digitalen Transformation liegen.
Von- und miteinander lernen
Dr. Matthias Bandorf, Leiter Gesch ftsmodelle Digital Services bei Schaeffler, nahm auf der Abschlusskonferenz Ende September in Aachen den Award entgegen. Er freute sich ber die Auszeichnung zum Successful-Practice-Unternehmen und ber den Lernprozess, mit dem die Studie verbunden war: Die Teilnahme an einem solchen Benchmarking ist eine tolle M glichkeit, auch den Nachbarn mal einen Blick ber die Schulter zu werfen. Denn gerade im Zuge der digitalen Transformation ist es wichtig, von- und miteinander zu lernen.
Obwohl das Thema Digitalisierung inzwischen allgegenw rtig ist, wirft die Umsetzung im Unternehmen nach wie vor Fragen auf. Daher verglich das FIR die Ans tze von 25 identifizierten Top-Performern mit denen der anderen Studienteilnehmer und leitete daraus sechs Erfolgskriterien ab. Abschlie end zeichnete das Forschungsinstitut f nf Unternehmen als Successful-Practice-Unternehmen aus, die durch ihre Vorreiterrolle beim Gestalten datenbasierter Dienstleistungen berzeugen.
Das A und O: Strategische Partnerschaften und Kundenorientierung
Schaeffler hat die Digitalisierung schon fr h als pr gendes Zukunftsthema aufgegriffen und in seine Strategie Mobilit t f r morgen integriert. Ein Aspekt der digitalen Agenda von Schaeffler ist es, bestehende Gesch ftsmodelle zu erweitern und neue zu entwickeln. Das Unternehmen setzt dabei weit ber das Benchmarking hinaus auf eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit Gesch ftspartnern, Universit ten, Forschungseinrichtungen und innovativen Start-ups, um die digitale Welt aktiv mitzugestalten.
Der tats chliche Treiber von Industrie 4.0 sind datenbasierte, vernetzte Dienstleistungen, da der Einsatz von Sensoren und die Vernetzung von Maschinen alleine keinen Mehrwert darstellen , erkl rt Prof. Dr.-Ing. Schaeffler entwickelt digitale Services, die sowohl die Verf gbarkeit und Produktivit t von Maschinen und Anlagen erh hen, als auch der Optimierung der Prozesse dienen. Das Bed rfnis des Kunden ist dabei immer Ausgangspunkt und Motivation f r die Entwicklung neuer Produkte und Services. F r ein erfolgreiches Gesch ftsmodell m ssen wir verstehen, welche Probleme dem Kunden hohe Folgekosten verursachen und wie seine Prozesse funktionieren. Erst dann k nnen wir L sungen entwickeln, die unserem Kunden auch echten Mehrwert bieten , erl utert Dr. Matthias Bandorf. Mit dem Smart EcoSystem bietet Schaeffler eine ganzheitliche, cloudbasierte Soft- und Hardware-Infrastruktur, die von sensorisierten Komponenten bis zu digitalen Services alle Stufen der digitalen Wertsch pfung umfasst. Die flexible Architektur des Smart EcoSystems erm glicht Herstellern und Betreibern von Maschinen und Anlagen einen strukturierten, anwendungsorientierten und modular erweiterbaren Einstieg in die digitalen Dienstleistungsangebote von Schaeffler.
