Meet Our Friends from Cantemo at NAB2016 by Vidispine April 14, 2016 News
Today for you pre-NAB pleasure we want to introduce our partner Cantemo. They are just out with Cantemo Portal 2.3, based on the Vidispine API, and new integrations between Portal and Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Read it, and watch the video.
Cantemo was established to lead the revolution for next generation Media Asset Management. Its founders, with years of experience behind them, could see a trend emerging for the creation and use of video extending beyond traditional broadcast. This meant that the existing MAM systems would no longer meet the demands of a rapidly evolving market. A big part of that is integrating with other solutions, such as Vidispine.
At this year's NAB, we will be demonstrating the latest version of Cantemo Portal (2.3). It uses Vidispine for a number of backend heavy-lifting tasks, such as transcoding, storage and file management. Vidispine's extensive API allows us to freely control it within Cantemo Portal, through our Rules Engine App.
Hot off the development cycle, the latest version of Cantemo Portal features a number of exciting updates:
New generation of Rules Engine, which allows for custom automations and the creation of more advanced rules and workflows.
Hierarchical metadata, a relationship-based way of handling metadata.
Support for Oracle DIVArchive.
We are also officially launching our latest Adobe Premiere Pro CC for Windows, delivering new levels of integration for Windows users and getting the functionality more in line with the panel for Mac. The panel enables a more streamlined content and metadata exchange between Cantemo Portal and Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
