Broadpeak Enriches BkYou Ad Personalization Solution With Ad Preparation and End-to-End Management Capabilities

Broadpeak a leading provider of content delivery network (CDN) and video streaming solutions for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide, today announced the next generation of its BkYou ad personalization solution, featuring new ad preparation capabilities. BkYou offers pay-TV operators and content providers an end-to-end solution for ad insertion, supporting the entire process of ad personalization from the origin server to transcoding, packaging, and delivery to end-user devices, with reports to enable deeper insights into ad consumption.

Consumer demand for personalized content, including ads, has really ramped up globally, said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak. With the latest version of our BkYou ad personalization solution, were helping customers address this important trend. New features, such as ultra-fast transcoding, end-to-end management, and ad packaging, streamline the delivery of targeted advertising so that operators and content providers can enhance opportunities for monetization.

The new BkYou can boost the monetization of live, cloud PVR, and VOD video streaming services delivered via the HLS or DASH format. With this latest version, Broadpeak has increased the number of ads that operators and content providers can support in their library offering, enabling more ad choices and additional possibilities for video monetization. BkYou has also been optimized with faster transcoding and an ad fallback mechanism that maximizes the number of ad impressions while reducing errors.

In addition, Broadpeak has enhanced BkYou with new ad hosting and ad packaging capabilities. These capabilities have been added on top of the solutions existing manifest manipulator features, increasing operators scalability so that targeted ads can be better addressed during popular live events while also supporting VOD and cloud PVR use cases.

On top of these major enhancements, BkYou builds on providing a superior ecosystem reach and is agnostic, offering seamless integration with all major ad decision servers. BkYou is IAB certified and compliant with the organizations Open Measurement Software Development Kit (OM SDK), the digital advertising industrys standard for facilitating third-party access to measurement data.
