The next wave of test and measurement: Rohde & Schwarz to highlight its solutions at the EuMW 2025 in Utrecht The Netherland's charming tech hub, Utrecht, is hosting this year's European Microwave Week (EuMW), bringing together leading experts in microwave, RF, wireless and radar technology. A key highlight of the exhibition will be the game-changing FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz: Featuring a novel architecture, the FSWX enables completely new measurement scenarios in RF system testing. Visitors can see it in action in multiple applications at the company's booth, where it will address the evolving testing needs of various industries. Additionally, Rohde & Schwarz is showcasing updates to its tried and tested R&S FSWP phase noise analyzer, alongside the latest R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer and other cutting-edge product innovations.
Discover the next wave of test and measuremen with Rohde & Schwarz at EuMW 2025 in Utrecht.
Rohde & Schwarz invites attendees to the EuMW 2025 in Utrecht to Discover the next wave of test and measurement at booth A026 in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Taking place from September 23 to 25, 2025, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to explore the company's latest RF and microwave test solutions for RF and microwave components, radar and satellite systems, next-generation wireless communications and automotive technologies.
Measure the impossible: FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer
Making its European debut at the Rohde & Schwarz booth during the EuMW, the newly introduced FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer will take center stage, featured in a variety of demo setups. This game-changing analyzer overcomes the limitations of today's measurement methods with its novel architecture that combines multiple input ports with cross-correlation techniques. Designed for wideband signals used in mobile communications, wireless, radar and satellite applications, the FSWX meets the growing demand for higher data rates with wider demodulation bandwidths and increased modulation orders - areas where traditional signal analyzers often fall short.
RF and microwave component testing
The multi-path architecture of the FSWX offers advanced capabilities for next-generation RF and microwave component testing. It reduces measurement uncertainties, paving the way for novel testing approaches under real-world conditions. At the show booth, visitors can explore its residual measurements functionality, which allow simultaneous comparison of signal quality metrics at both the input and output of the DUT. Additionally, the FSWX can detect hidden RF signals thanks to its ability to suppress inherent noise to improve sensitivity. The cross-correlation mode lowers the instrument's noise floor without compromising resolution bandwidth (RBW). This allows faster sweep times and better detection of small signals. By suppressing noise, the FSWX reveals Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) numbers of high-end transmitters that were previously unmeasurable.
Additional demonstrations at the booth include a novel approach for wideband modulated load pull, addressing the growing need to verify wideband RF frontends across varying impedances as seen when connected to multi-band antennas. This solution, based on the R&S RTP oscilloscope and the R&S SMW200A vector signal generator, enables rapid wideband signal capture, essential for such applications.
Rohde & Schwarz will also present the R&S ZNB3000 , its latest vector network analyzer, optimized for high-volume production and short ramp-up times. Offering industry-leading measurement speed and reliability, the R&S ZNB3000 is designed for rapid upscaling and easy adaptation to application-specific requirements. With highest dynamic range and output power in its class, as well as future-ready performance, it supports next-generation technologies.
With the R&S ZN-ZCG comb generator, Rohde & Schwarz has introduced a phase reference standard that delivers precision phase calibration for the R&S ZNA vector network analyzer. It enables accurate frequency converting phase and delay measurements on components such as mixers and converters. The spectrum generated by the R&S ZN-ZCG is phase-characterized and referenced to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), ensuring fully traceable and reliable calibration.
Radar and EW testing
In modern electromagnetic warfare (EW), deceptive jammers based on digital RF memory (DRFM) technology play a critical role in Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) systems. As radars become increasingly sophisticated, measuring DRFM performance - in particular in terms of timing, coherence and spectral integrity - requires exceptional precision. At EuMW, visitors can witness the multi-channel FSWX in action as it simultaneously measures input and output signals of a simulated DRFM jammer, providing a comprehensive evaluation of its performance and effectiveness. The FSWX also offers advanced measurement applications such as pulse and transient analysis, offering deeper insights into radar and EW system behavior.
To address emerging applications in satellite communications, Rohde & Schwarz will also showcase the latest model of the R&S FSWP , now featuring an extended frequency range of up to 56 GHz and support of external oscillators as local oscillators. The demonstration will highlight its capabilities in additive and residual phase noise measurements, supported by an internal signal source with a frequency range of up to 54 GHz.
Exploring THz frequencies for wireless technologies
The frequency range above 100 GHz is key to developing tomorrow's wireless technologies like sensing or short-range data transmission. Rohde & Schwarz is actively collaborating with universities and public as well as commercial research facilities to addres
