Sony, NFL Ink Deal to Stream NFL Network, RedZone on PlayStation Vue

NFL Media has reached an agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment for national distribution of NFL Network and NFL RedZone on its PlayStation Vue Internet-based live TV service. NFL Network and NFL RedZone are scheduled to launch in time for kickoff of the NFL's regular season on PlayStation Vue, which is available on TV-connected and mobile devices.

Sports is among the most-watched content on PlayStation Vue, and we're pleased to add two highly coveted sports networks, NFL Network and NFL RedZone, to the service for football fans to enjoy nationwide, says Dwayne Benefield, VP, head of PlayStation Vue. Launched in 2003, NFL Network gives fans year-round inside access to the entire NFL calendar, from the NFL Scouting Combine and NFL Draft, to training camps and Preseason, the Regular Season, Playoffs and Pro Bowl, and all the way through the Super Bowl. For the upcoming 2016 season, NFL Network will deliver NFL Network's Thursday Night Football games, popular shows such as NFL GameDay Morning, A Football Life, TIMELINE, wall-to-wall news and fantasy coverage from around the NFL and much, much more.

Every Sunday afternoon, the NFL RedZone channel brings fans every touchdown and all the big moments from every game across the NFL. Produced by NFL Network, NFL RedZone cuts from stadium to stadium and delivers fans the most exciting plays live as they happen. PlayStation Vue subscribers receiving NFL Network and NFL RedZone will also have access to the services through Watch NFL Network, available on NFL.com, the NFL app across connected TV devices, and via NFL Mobile on Windows, iOS and Android devices.

PlayStation Vue offers more than 100 top live sports, movie, and TV channels, including programming from AMC Networks, CBS, Discovery Communications, Disney/ABC Television Group, ESPN, Fox, NBCUniversal, Scripps Networks Interactive, Turner Broadcasting and Viacom. PlayStation Vue is accessible across popular TV-connected and mobile devices.

NFL content has never been more popular across the media landscape. According to the Nielsen Company, 199 million people tuned into the 2015 NFL regular season representing 78 percent of all television homes and 67 percent of potential viewers in the U.S. NFL games accounted for the top 25 and 46 of the 50 most-watched TV shows among all programming in 2015.
