Award for outstanding achievements in the fields of AV media technology and systems integration

Every year, Sinus - Systems Integrations Award - honours the innovative and pioneering use of AV media technology and systems integration solutions. Personalities and companies from the sector are now invited to enter for this coveted award by submitting their projects to the Sinus expert jury. The award ceremony will take place at Prolight + Sound, International Fair of Technologies and Services for Entertainment, Integrated Systems and Creation, in Frankfurt am Main on 6 April. Candidates can enter their projects with a brief description at www.prolight-sound.com/sinus. The closing date is 4 November 2016.

The opportunity to actively enter for a Sinus Award was introduced last year. Prior to that, the winning projects were nominated exclusively by the expert jury. Attracting numerous high-grade entries, the new system proved to be highly successful.

Sinus - Systems Integrations Award

The Sinus Award has been given in alternating categories since 2004 and is considered to be one of the most renowned honours of the AV media technology sector. It spotlights outstanding achievements by the award-winning companies in the field of audio-visual communication. The sponsors of this honorary award are the Professional Lighting & Sound Association of Germany (Verband f r Licht-, Ton- und Veranstaltungstechnik - VPLT), the European Association of Event Centers (Europ ischer Verband der Veranstaltungs-Centren - EVVC) and Messe Frankfurt. The expert jury is made up of members of the associations, specialists from the sector, journalists and representatives of Messe Frankfurt.

Two projects were chosen for the Sinus Award in 2016: In the Entertainment' category, the Sinus honoured the media technology installed in Two70 ', the multiplex event room on the Anthem of the Seas' cruise liner. In the Corporate' category, it was given for the renewal of the AV media technology in the 63 lecture theatres of the University of Stuttgart. Next year, the award will once again be presented together with the Opus - German Stage Award, the Prolight + Sound International Press Award (PIPA) and the Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) at a special evening event during Prolight + Sound.
