HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED FEATURE FILM FROM DENYS ARCAND
AN EYE FOR BEAUTY
S ville International strengthens offering of prestigious films from outstanding Qu becois filmmakers
Montreal/London May 13, 2014 Through their newly-launched boutique sales arm S ville International, Entertainment One Films International President Harold van Lier announces that the company has acquired international rights to the upcoming Qu bec feature film AN EYE FOR BEAUTY (French title: Le r gne de la beaut ), from Academy Award-winning Qu becois director Denys Arcand (The Barbarian Invasions, The Decline of the American Empire), who also wrote the screenplay for the film. AN EYE FOR BEAUTY is produced by Cin maginaire's Denise Robert.
S ville International is preparing for the Cannes launch of the film, where it will screen privately for buyers, and will handle international sales and marketing. The company also confirmed that it will distribute the film directly in Qu bec and Canada, where the film will be released theatrically on Thursday, May 15.
Starring ric Bruneau, M lanie Thierry, Melanie Merkosky and Marie Jos e Croze, the film tells the story of Luc, a young architect with remarkable talent who lives a peaceful life with his wife Stephanie in the stunning area of Charlevoix. Beautiful house, pretty wife, dinner with friends, golf, tennis, hunting a perfect life, one might say! One day, he accepts to be a member of an architectural jury in Toronto. There, he meets Lindsay, a mysterious woman who will turn his life upside down.

I am very much looking forward to working with such an amazing director and with Denise Robert and Daniel Louis. Poirier and her team head to Cannes with strong line-up of independent arthouse films with crossover potential and award pedigree that includes the upcoming MOMMY from Xavier Dolan, in Competition, TU DORS NICOLE, in Director's Fortnight, and MA MA starring Penelope Cruz, among many others.
