Over on the west coast, NBC Sports Bay Area & California is covering every inch of the San Francisco Giants' Oracle Park with technology to spotlight one of the more attractive stadiums in Major League Baseball. From miniature cinematic cameras - affectionately known by the regional sports network as cineminis - to following players into the dugout after home runs, viewers have been treated to more access to the team during the 2024 regular season.
At the SVG Regional Sports Production Summit, NBC Sports Bay Area & California's Senior Director, Live Events & Special Projects, Devon Fox, details the process of placing these cinematic cameras in unique locations to showcase their beautiful ballpark and how these devices and other workflows are putting their viewers into the center of the action.
