Lookabaugh es actualmente presidente de Thomas Lookabaugh Associates, una consultor a que da servicio a la industria de las telecomunicaciones. Anteriormente, fue ejecutivo en Cable Television Laboratories (CableLabs), donde dirigi actividades de investigaci n y desarrollo entre industrias, y en ViaSat, donde fue responsable del negocio de movilidad comercial. Antes de ViaSat, fue CTO de Entropic Communications, un proveedor de soluciones de semiconductores para el mercado dom stico conectado, y CEO de PolyCipher, una empresa de la industria del cable que se enfoc en el desarrollo de productos de seguridad e infraestructura.
