Viewers of The Queen are not supportive of Thando and Bhambatha's storyline as they're not a good match.

This is after the pair went on an awkward and hillarious date yesterday (18 April) that didn't end on a good note.

THANDO DESERVES BETTER THAN BHAMBATHA #TheQueenMzansi is wondering why the writers have paired Thando with Brutus' eldest son - Bhambatha who is no match for her.

Viewers feel that the pair are a total cringe-fest and are surprised that she even agreed to go out with him.

Bhambatha (Khumbuza Meyiwa) fell in love with Thando (Jessica Nkosi) and asked her out on a date that didn't end well.

The pair are ill-suited to each other as Bhambatha is rural and backward and Thando is modern and sophisticated.

They first discussed where they'll eat out and Bhambatha suggested a local spot in the CBD of Johannesburg that serves traditional Zulu food.

Thando then declined to go out with him because she's gone there before and will never go there again.

They then went to Thando's preferred restaurant Noma's which is a popular posh restaurant.

Things went downhill when she called him a cheapskate after complaining about the food prices and the menu.
