Breakrough Entertainment Ups Owen Kelly as International Sales and Acquisition Executive in Studio s Growing Feature Film Division

TORONTO (December 8, 2016) - Leading Canadian studio Breakthrough Entertainment announced today the appointment of Owen Kelly to the role of International Sales and Acquisition Executive for Feature Films. Kelly, who began at Breakthrough within the Business Affairs team in 2015, will now handle worldwide sales and acquisitions of feature films for the company. Owen will be reporting to Nat Abraham, Partner, President, Distribution.

Owen's background and love of films will serve to help expand the growing library of titles for the studio, as well as extend the reach of high-quality content developed under the Breakthrough banner.

We are thrilled to be able to announce Owen as our new sales and acquisition executive, says Nat Abraham, His background in business affairs gives him a unique perspective into financing structures for our productions and his sales background will perfectly compliment our current sales team . Kelly first started his career in feature film sales at Toronto-based international sales agency Cinema Vault Releasing. He then moved on to Global Incentives, where he managed Canadian and US tax credits for some of Canada's and Hollywood's leading producers, including Relativity Media, The Weinstein Company and Lions Gate, and for films such as Zero Dark Thirty, The Host and Riddick. It was through this experience Kelly developed his acute sense of tax incentives and finance knowledge, which he utilizes as part of his sales and acquisition skillset.
