Aitor Rubio, Senior Product Manager of innovation in Cellnex, he has participated in the first day of the 5g Forum being held these days in the pole of digital contents of Malaga organized by Medina Media, and has Audiovisual panorama as a media partner.

The Spanish infrastructure provider with a strong presence in several European markets is making a strong bid to bring closer the 5G companies and end users. And it is that for Rubio, "the 5 G is not the future, it is present".

Rubio pointed out that for many services based on 5G networks develop, as ENG contribution or remote broadcast production, will be key to count the minimum latency.

The geographical location of the datas centers and bring computation capability to the device and antenna they will help to achieve a level of latency associated with the 5 G, free bandwidth of the operator and service with a maximum response and better speed, minimum.

At this moment, Cellnex is taking advantage of the reduction of space derived from the optimization of transmission equipment to locate some of its communications towers datacenters in height with high capacities of computer connectivity and security associated with this type of communications nodes.

The operator also provides the opening of Central or Metropolitan Headquarters to make sites halfway user that combine fixed and mobile network capabilities and can offer the capacity of surplus computing companies, or third parties operators.

Cellnex, together with Intel and NearbyComputing, it is developing the Adaptative Edge Technology. This project is based on computing and processing of data at the end of the network. So it may allocate network resources and additional computing capabilities in situations where there is, or is there, a higher demand for data traffic or specific applications are required.

With Adaptive Edge, operators can be adapted in advance and in real time the need for network resources.

During the last Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, conducted a consistent experience on a complete private network that included from radio access to the core with a few servers on the Egde. One of the tests was HD video distribution minimum latency and high reliability for the end user.

The experience in the MWC allowed to check how Adaptive is this solution and the use of logical and physical resources according to traffic at all times.

On the other hand, Rubio confirmed that Cellnex works in the interconnection with fiber all sites that can be used for 5G. These sites had up to now low connectivity between the access network and the core network with quality assurance and sufficient service to enjoy the benefits of the 5G. The deployment of fiber between these centers will reverse this situation.

Finally, Aitor Rubio shared with the 5G Forum attendees experience Cellnex being in the new Parcmotor Castellol Barcelona circuit. It is one of the first connected circuits of Europe and will serve as a testing ground for the development of ITS technological solutions associated with the 5G, the autonomous vehicle and sustainable mobility especially in the field of communications vehicle to vehicle (V2V), of the vehicle with the infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle with persons (V2P), that may be subsequently implanted in vehicles (future mobility), in towns and cities (smart cities) and roads and highways (smart roads).

The new connected circuit thus offers a comprehensive solution to test vehicles connected in a controlled, safe and sustainable environment.
