RT Sport launches comprehensive cross-platform coverage of UEFA

At a reception today (Wednesday 1 June, 2016) in the French Ambassador's Residence on Ailesbury Road, Dublin, RT Sport unveiled full details of its UEFA EURO 2016 coverage across TV, radio, online and mobile ensuring that Irish audiences are offered the very best of the action and atmosphere of the tournament from France.

Beginning with France v Romania on Friday 10 June and including all three of the Republic of Ireland's Group games against Sweden on Monday 13 June, Belgium on Saturday 18 June and Italy on Wednesday 22 June, RT 2 will have exclusive live coverage of 20 group games, five round-of-16 games, two quarter-finals and both semi-finals as well as shared live coverage of the final itself.

Darragh Maloney will anchor RT 2's live coverage with Peter Collins also presenting. Damien Duff joining the famous team of panellists including John Giles, Eamon Dunphy, Liam Brady, Richie Sadlier, and Didi Hamann with Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan, Brian Kerr and Jim Beglin on commentary duty alongside George Hamilton and Ger Canning, Stephen Alkin and John Kenny.

Each evening of the tournament RT 2 will have a full highlights programme presented by Jacqui Hurley, Peter Collins and Aidan Power with panellists including former Ireland internationals Kenny Cunningham and Clinton Morrison and current Irish Women's internationals Stephanie Roche and Niamh Fahey.

Joining RT Group Football Correspondent Tony O'Donoghue on the ground in France will be Dave Kelly and Daire O'Brien, with all three reporting from in and around the Irish camp as well as giving a flavour of the Ireland fan experience in France across UEFA EURO 2016 for RT 2, RT News and RT radio.

This year's coverage will also see Irish language commentary available for TV viewers and of course Apr s Match will be along to give their inimitable take throughout the tournament.

In addition to the coverage on RT 2 television, RT Radio 1 will have all of the Republic of Ireland's group games live with Adrian Eames and Brian Kerr on commentary plus daily newsdesks with all the latest from the Irish camps and the wider tournament on both RT Radio 1 and 2fm.

On digital, a dedicated-Euro 2016 website www.rte.ie/euro2016 launches today to provide the latest updates from the Ireland camp throughout the tournament, along with columns from the RT Soccer analysts. The RT Soccer podcast will run throughout Ireland's involvement.

For online audiences, RT Player (online and mobile) is the destination to watch RT s Euro 2016 matches live and on-demand, as well as live pre-match press conferences, match highlights, analysis from the RT Sport expert panel and reports from the team s base in Versailles.

RT Player s dedicated Euro 2016 hub is also bringing
