VIMN Africa receives 14 awards at PromaxBDA Africa --

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa, which hosts a portfolio of entertainment channels including MTV, MTV Base, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nicktoons BET International, Comedy Central and VH1 Classic, has won 14 awards at the annual PromaxBDA Africa Awards, which took place in Johannesburg on 21 November.

Alex Okosi, senior vice president and managing director of VIMN Africa said, Creativity is the lifeblood of VIMN Africa and our channels, and we are fortunate to have a creative team whose vision, hard work and commitment has been recognized and rewarded so comprehensively by the Promax judges.

VIMN Africa s awards comprised five gold and nine silver awards, including for the fourth year running, Best Sponsor Integration Spot with both a gold and silver award in this category.

MTV Base (DStv channel 322) won seven awards, including two for the MTV Africa Music Awards and five for its Made of Black campaign for Guinness. MTV (DStv channel 130) was given a gold award for Best Interactive Promotion for the MTV Video Music Awards 2014: Call to Action.

Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305) received four awards for its kids science and maths campaign, Nickelodeon s Genius, executed with Melrose. Nickelodeon also won gold awards for Best Children s Promo and Best Sponsor/Brand Integration.

Comedy Central (DStv channel 122) won two silver awards, for Best Program Title Sequence Design for The Comedy Central Roast of Kenny Kunene, and Best Use of Social Media for The Fig.
