Douglas Delaney Joins Light Iron as Supervising Colorist

Esteemed colorist complements Light Iron's world-class artist roster, bringing deep experience across feature films and episodic series.

Light Iron, the post-production creative-services division of Panavision, is excited to announce that Douglas Delaney has joined the company's artist roster as a Supervising Colorist. Delaney is based out of Light Iron's Los Angeles facility, with the ability to collaborate with clients globally through Light Iron's comprehensive remote capabilities.

With more than two decades of experience in post production and image science, Delaney brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep skill set from his close collaborations with top cinematographers and directors. His credits span a diverse range of projects, including feature films like Monkey Man, Captain Marvel and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and episodic credits including the live-action Tulsa King and animated Secret Level.

I'm extremely excited to be joining the very talented group of artists at Light Iron, Delaney said. The way we post projects is constantly evolving - we're no longer just colorists, but really finishers of the image, and technological advances mean we can do more without the massive footprints of legacy establishments. That's a philosophy I share with Light Iron, who have been known for their cutting-edge workflows for a long time. And Panavision has no parallel in terms of their commitment to quality and their support of filmmakers.

Delaney joins Light Iron from Picture Shop, where his credits also included the features The Exorcism and Entergalactic and the series Bel-Air, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and Your Honor. His previous experience also includes senior colorist and colorist roles at Technicolor and Deluxe Entertainment Services Group.

Doug has a natural talent for enhancing storytelling and helping filmmakers bring their creative visions to life, said Tim Belcher, Managing Director at Light Iron. His long list of credits speaks for itself, and his industry experience has sharpened his craft and given him a deep understanding of color finishing.

In Los Angeles, Delaney will work alongside fellow Supervising Colorists Ian Vertovec and Corinne Bogdanowicz, Senior Colorists Charles Bunnag and Ethan Schwartz, and Colorist Pat Fitzgerald. Light Iron's celebrated roster of artists also includes Senior Colorists Andrew Geary, lodie Ichter and Katie Jordan and Colorist Keith Jenson, who are based out of Light Iron's New York facility. With locations across North America, Light Iron offers VFX, dailies, offline editorial rentals, mastering and archive services in addition to final color and finishing.
