scar Hormigos, fundador de The App Date, ha abierto el Observatorio de la Realidad Virtual que se celebra hoy y ma ana en el Polo de Contenidos Digitales de M laga, con Panorama Audiovisual como media partner, haciendo un repaso a la situaci n actual de la realidad virtual (RV) en el mundo. Como muestra del auge que vive el sector, ha se alado que en marzo pasado Sony anunciaba que se hab an vendido un mill n de gafas de PlayStation VR en todo el mundo. Por su parte, a finales de 2016 la cifra de unidades de Samgung Gear VR comercializadas super los 4,3 millones. Hormigos, partiendo de diferentes estudios, anticipa que en 2020 habr cien millones de usuarios de VR generando una cifra de negocio que rondar los 11.800 millones de d lares (a partir del pr ximo a o).
Seg n un estudio de SuperData Research, los sectores que mover n la realidad virtual a corto plazo son juegos (48%), entretenimiento (15%), interactivos ( 9%), wellness (6%), turismo (5%), social (4%) y atracciones (3%).
No hay que esperar a que haya cien millones de usuarios para que haya soluciones viables, ya que hay un sinf n de reas de aplicaci n que no tienen que ser masivas. Se prev un alto aumento en la adopci n de la realidad virtual, similar a lo que ocurri con la televisi n en color o los tel fonos m viles. La ventaja es que, a diferencia de otros fen menos tecnol gicos, el 32% de los americanos tiene ya inter s por la realidad virtual , ha comentado Hormigos. El perfil del usuario de la RV es hombre o mujer entre 18 y 34 a os.
En cuanto a la financiaci n, se est destinando a las empresas de RV, pero todav a queda dinero para realidad aumentada y realidad mixta. El problema es que los inversores est n buscando el retorno a corto plazo, y y esto es dif cil para la mayor a de las empresas de RV. El dinero no est llegando como deber a porque la realidad virtual m s a necesitar una curva de despegue a medio plazo .
Mercado espa ol
En lo que al mercado espa ol se refiere, a finales de 2016, The Appe Date estima que se hab an distribuido m s de 105.000 gafas de realidad virtual. El n mero de empresas dedicadas a la RV supera las 150 aunque el 41% de estas compa as tienen menos de cinco empleados. El 95% de estas empresas est n creciendo este a o contratando a nuevos profesionales. A nivel de proyectos, se han desarrollado m s de quinientos proyectos inmersivos en nuestro pa s.
El gran motor de la VR en Espa a est n siendo los eventos y la publicidad. Entretenimiento, publicidad, turismo, educaci n e inmobiliaria ser n algunos de los sectores que en Espa a m s se beneficiar n de los entornos inmersivos, a juicio de scar Hormigos.

Se trata de un completo directorio divulgativo en el que se dan a conocer los diferentes mbitos de creaci n de experiencias inmersivas desde estudios, creadores de hardware, programadores o alquileres de equipos, entre otros.
