Mediability to Open UK Office to Drive International Expansion posted: 20/01/2018

Mediability, the Scandinavian-headquartered provider of products, solutions and consultancy to broadcast production houses, universities and media organisations, today announces the launch of Mediability Global, its UK-based technical consultancy service. Based in London, it will be headed up by Rex Jenkins, the former managing director of Vizrt UK, with a remit to help clients in Europe and the Middle East prepare and future-proof workflows in a rapidly-changing media landscape.
Having built up a successful business within Scandinavia, Mediability has an impressive track record in deploying workflows using the latest technologies such as IP, cloud systems and video streaming to help its customers create, handle and distribute media in the most efficient way. Mediability has experienced a growing demand for its expert services, not just for selecting and implementing the right solutions, but also for providing ongoing support and consultancy. Creating systems in this way means Mediability's customers can maximize their return on investment from their workflows and stay ahead of the competition.

On the expansion, Mediability's CEO H vard Myklebust, said: Our customers see us as problem-solvers who operate at the forefront of the media industry to help them get the most out of their technology and infrastructures. With more media organisations now preparing to switch to IP-based workflows, there's an increasing demand worldwide for our expertise in successfully delivering such projects. London's position as a key media hub, and the wealth of technical talent it is home to, made it the obvious location to base our new Mediability Global offering there. And in Rex we've found the perfect person to spearhead the business.
Discussing his new role, Rex Jenkins said: Mediability doesn't just design and deliver new systems. What we offer is quite different to the services of traditional systems integrators, who we see as collaborative partners.
We work closely with customers and systems integrators to interpret their needs in-depth, so we can recommend the best solution. We then make sure our customers understand the technology to enable them to manage new workflows themselves and enable their personnel to work more effectively to output better media content.
Mediability already has experience in providing innovative solutions to the technical challenges that digital media platforms and falling advertising revenues are presenting. Whether it's for broadcasters, newspapers, universities - or any other organisation working with media - Mediability Global's goal is to bridge the gap between what they're currently doing and what they want to achieve, with the latest technology.
