New channels signal summer of fun for Virgin Media

Virgin Media, the UK's leading communications and entertainment company, has added an array of new HD and SD channels from Viacom International Media Networks to its TV platform1 and award-winning2 Virgin TV Anywhere service3.

Virgin TV subscribers can now get their fix of reality TV favourites Geordie Shore and The Valleys in High Definition over on MTV HD, while the newly-added MTV Music channel plays round-the-clock music videos, live performances and artist interviews.

With only a few weeks to go until the school holidays, Nick HD promises to keep the whole family entertained with new episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brought to life in vibrant HD. Viewers can also drop some smooth moves with the Diversity boys in Jordan and Perri's Ultimate Block Party or get their rock on' with How to Rock.

BET International has also joined the line up and is now available on both Virgin TV and Virgin TV Anywhere. The channel features the best content from America's BET Network including mockumentary' Real Husbands of Hollywood, starring actor and comedian Kevin Hart, The Wendy Williams Show, the eponymous daily talk show fronted by the best-selling author and New York DJ and BET's flagship show, 106 & Park, which showcases the best of the music and entertainment industries, including celebrity interviews and live performances.

Virgin TV Anywhere is also the only cloud-based entertainment service to offer Comedy Central, putting favourite funnies such as Anger Management and Two and a Half Men at customers' finger tips and enabling them to take the shows beyond the TV to devices such as computers, tablets and smartphones at no extra cost.

Virgin TV customers can access Virgin TV Anywhere online or, for the 1.5 million customers with Virgin Media TiVo , through a mobile and tablet app.

With a growing number of channels available there's something for everyone on our TV platform and customers will never struggle to find something to watch, whatever their taste or mood.

All the new channels are available today. The additions bring to more than 20 the number of VIMN channels available on Virgin Media's TV platform.

Streaming services on Virgin TV Anywhere can be used anywhere in the UK using a fixed or wireless broadband connection. Streaming over 3G is not supported. Whilst there is no charge to use the Virgin TV Anywhere service for Virgin TV customers, charges may apply for using public Wi-Fi or mobile networks.
