Fans of the educational soapie Skeem Saam took to social media to applaud actor Sello Maake KaNcube, who played Jacobeth Thobakagle's crook professor boyfriend Ntate Kganyago.

SELLO MAAKE KANCUBE:'I'M ALSO TRYING TO CALL HIM' The Skeem Saam actor Sello Maake KaNcube on Friday took a jab at his scammer character Ntate Kganyago after he fled with Jacobeth Thobakgale's money.

Maake KaNcube's popular character trended on Friday evening after he stood up his fiancee Jacobeth and didn't return her calls.

The star tweeted: I'm also trying to call Prof Kganyago! after numerous unanswered phone calls.

Kganyago convinced Jacobeth to invest half a million rand into a scam, proposed marriage to her, and convinced her to turn her back on his daughter Elizabeth after she found out he was trying to scam her mother.

Viewers of the soapie also revealed they are not sympathetic towards Elizabeth's mother after she chose to not believe Meikie Maputla's warnings about her boyfriend.

Fans are looking forward to Alfred's reaction next week and Monday's episode when Jacobeth realises her daughter and the community was right about Kganyago.

SKEEM SAAM': NTATE KGANYAGO NEXT STOP The TVSA December teasers reveal that Elizabeth (Amanda Manku) will return home safely and that the police will hunt down Kganyago and Luc, who will resurface at another hospital on Friday, 23 December.

Tuesday 20 December teaser:

The chickens come home to roost for a certain swindler as the cops' trail on him heats up.

Monday 26 December:

Kganyago disappears into thin air and brings a devastated Jacobeth to her knees.

Tuesday 27 December:

Luc calls Elizabeth to officially strike the last nail into Jacobeth's coffin.

Thursday 29 December:

Jacobeth receives an aggravating message from Kganyago.
