Albis Technologies ACCEED Acce Solutions Receive MEF CE .0 Certification

ZURICH - Sept. 10, 2013 - Albis Technologies announced today that its ACCEED family of Ethernet Demarcation Devices (EDD) have received Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0 certification from the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF). The company's ACCEED copper and fiber access devices are now MEF CE 2.0 certified for E-Line, E-LAN, and E-Access services.

Achieving MEF 2.0 certification for our ACCEED family of Ethernet Demarcation Devices guarantees that our customers are deploying a state-of-the-art solution capable of delivering reliable Ethernet services in a multi-vendor environment, said Patrik Schoenenberger, head of Access Solutions and vice president of Albis Technologies. The MEF's CE certification standardizes Carrier Ethernet technology based on a set of strict quality constraints, ensuring that service providers and operators in the telecommunications industry can reliably deliver end-to-end Carrier Ethernet services without experiencing any impact on performance. CE 2.0 defines several new features such as support for multi-CoS (multiple classes of service), improved manageability, and simplified interconnect capabilities for eight standard service types.

Prior to receiving MEF CE 2.0 certification, Albis Technologies' ACCEED EDDs underwent an extensive authorization process in an independent laboratory, passing each test unconditionally. The ACCEED family of EDDs supports high-speed Carrier Ethernet services on a variety of platforms. Utilizing the high-performance devices, service providers and operators can implement high-revenue services spanning a wide range of applications, including high-speed business access, network demarcation for wholesale solutions, reliable mobile backhaul, and utility solutions.
