Arewa24 s popularity grows in Nigeria --

Building upon Arewa24 s growth in distribution and popularity in Northern Nigeria, the channel and its production studio is launching a new slate of original Hausa Language programming for 2016. The network premiered its first original Hausa language drama series, Dadin Kowa in February 2015. Dadin Kowa aired its milestone 50th episode on 9 January 2016.
Arewa24 has new programming in development and production for 2016, including new weekly series and formats. The network is developing a dramatic miniseries about crime and corruption, as well as its first situation comedy.
The first of AREWA24s new 2016 programme launches is a new weekly business show, Magna Naira, which will feature both in-studio elements and documentary segments showcasing a variety of business sectors, from innovative start-ups to the service sectors and weekly banking tips designed to help consumers gain a better understanding of how to manage their money.
Other series to be launched in 2016 include an unplugged concert series, a fashion and lifestyle show and a new youth oriented series, Our Leaders of Tomorrow, focused on issues relevant to young Northern Nigerians.
