Leisure farm tour becomes popular in Ningbo

On October 3, the third day of the National Day Holiday, the major scenic spots of Ningbo continued to witness a large number of tourists. Statistics from the tourism departments show that the leisure farm tours have become the first choice for many tourists.

At Dayan Town of Fenghua County, the so-called "paradise for backpackers", the holiday activities featuring parent-child tours are well under way. The local countryside inns are crowded with the self-driving tourists from Ningbo, Shanghai and other cities in the Yangtze River Delta area. Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery and delicious cuisine, tourists could also have a chance to take part in such agricultural activities as harvesting the rice, making rice cakes, catching fishes in the river, digging out yams and picking chestnuts.

At Huchen Township of Ninghai County, the series activities with the theme of "appreciating the fragrans and tasting the oranges" are held from October 1 to 20. The favorable prices and colorful activities, such as worshipping the fragrans, drinking the fragrans tea, eating farm cuisine, picking oranges, digging out yams, watching aigrettes and visiting the wetlands, have attracted a large group of local tourists for a leisure tour.

At the Folk Culture Village of Xiangshan County, visitors, most of whom are from Shanghai, are busy participating in such interesting folk activities as making rice cakes, grinding rice powder and rolling iron hooks. Besides the folk cultural activities, they can experience the life of the fishermen and taste the delicious seafood. The 1500 beds for tourists provided by over 50 family farms near Xiangshan Movie & TV City are fully booked, and the business also thrives for the over 20 restaurants and supermarkets and 123 retailers.

The Bridge Ecological Farm in Cixi County and Shilin Village of Dalan Town in Yuyao County have also launched the leisure agritainment activities, attracting a large number of self-driving tourists from Yuyao County and other peripheral counties or districts.
