Roland launch Zenology GX for iPad

ZEN-Core synth goes mobile

Roland's powerful ZEN-Core software synthesizer has just been introduced to the iPad, offering a convenient entry point into the company's ever-expanding software ecosystem. Boasting the same power as its desktop equivalent, Zenology GX for iPad offers an identical set of sound-shaping tools, but has been rebuilt to make the most of the iPad's touchscreen interface.

There's a huge array of sounds on offer, with the software delivering a mixture of classic analogue recreations, vintage digital instruments and modern hybrid beasts. Plenty of control is available thanks to oscillator, filter, amplifier, dual LFOs, modulation and effects sections, and it's possible to layer up to four voices to create new and interesting sounds. Along with the collection of synths, the platform is also packed with over 90 effects, including reverbs and delays, classic Juno 106 and CE 1 choruses, and signature effects like the SDD 320 Dimension D and DJ FX Looper.

Availability Zenology GX is available now via the Apple App Store, and requires a Roland account. As part of a launch promotion, it is being offered for free until later in 2026. More information can be found on the Roland website.
