Tim Hincks to Serve as President of the New Joint Venture Comprised of Endemol, Shine Group and CORE Media

TIM HINCKS TO SERVE AS PRESIDENT OF THE NEW JOINT VENTURE COMPRISED OF ENDEMOL, SHINE GROUP AND CORE MEDIA Hincks will report to CEO Sophie Turner Laing, with a focus on developing and growing the creative and strategic direction of the new venture The venture will have creative operations in over 30 markets, with a portfolio of over 600 revenue generating formats in both the scripted and non-scripted genres It was announced today that Tim Hincks will serve as President of the new joint venture, which brings together Endemol, Shine Group and CORE Media.

In his role as President, Hincks will report to Sophie Turner Laing, CEO of the global multi-platform content provider. Hincks, who will be based in London, will work with Turner Laing to develop and grow the creative and strategic direction of the new company, and will have specific responsibility for the UK and US.

Hincks first joined Endemol in 1999 having worked on factual and current affairs programming for the BBC since 1990. He went on to hold a number of senior management roles, initially at the Company's UK operation. These included Creative Director (2002-2005) and Chief Creative Officer (2005-2008), before his appointment as Endemol UK's CEO in 2008, when he also joined the International Board and the Creative Board of Endemol Group. Hincks was appointed President of Endemol Group in 2012, responsible for overseeing the company's operations in the US and UK, as well as content creation and commercial exploitation across the Group's worldwide network.

21st Century Fox and Apollo recently announced a final agreement to create a leading global multi-platform content provider, bringing together Endemol, Shine Group and CORE Media. Under the terms of the agreement 21st Century Fox and Apollo will jointly manage the newly created group, with each owning 50 per cent. The group's businesses will have creative operations in over 30 markets, with a diverse portfolio of over 600 revenue generating formats in both the scripted and non-scripted genres; coupled with digital, gaming, and distribution operations.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to regulatory clearances and other customary closing conditions. Prior to completion of the transaction, Endemol, Shine and CORE will continue to operate as separate companies. Upon completion of the transaction, CORE will retain its own capital structure. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the calendar year.
